DATA

The SD-2100 and SD-2400 insulated metal panels provide a stucco embossed painted profile with shadowlines for added strength. The panels are produced in a continuous process with liquid urethane insulated injected between the interior and exterior metal surfaces. The result is a solid monolithic plank that is strong enough to bear commercial abuses and aesthetically pleasing enough to be used in residential applications.

Design Features - The tongue and groove gasketed joint design allows flexibility in movement and superb sealing when the door is in the closed position. - The built-in thermal break inhibits thermal transmission across the panel. - The solid monolithic urethane core provides strength, durability and excellent insulating value. - The steel skins are galvanized and pre-finished with polyester paint which offers long term resistance to fading, chalking and corrosion. - The panels have built-in reinforcing plates for hardware attachment.

World leader in composite panel technology.
The continuous line manufacturing process starts with coil stock pre-painted steel for the interior and exterior of the door panel which is rollformed to the desired profile and then heated. The two part polyurethane insulation is applied as a liquid by a manifold which extends between the metal sheets. As the chemical reaction of the two part mixture causes the insulation to expand, it continues into the conveyer belt where it is held in place under pressure while the insulation rises and bonds the assembly into a solid and monolithic panel unit. When the panel exits the pressure conveyor, it is cut to length by a computer controlled cut-off-saw, and lifted and stacked by an automatic stacker. The speed and automation of the continuous line technology makes it possible to build top quality doors at competitive prices and enjoy the following benefits.

  • Simplified door assembly with one piece units.
  • Superior insulating values.
  • Strong, monolithic sections.
  • Solid panels and low maintenance and long life.
  • High speed production insures fast, reliable deliveries.
